WebThe theory of planned behavior (TPB) provides the theoretical basis for understanding an individual’s intention to engage in a particular behavior. TPB is viewed as a stronger and more effective research theory than any other theory for analyzing people’s intentions to start a new business [ 21 ]. WebMany prominent models of the turnover process implicitly or explicitly use elements of Fishbein and Ajzen’s (1980) Theory of Reasoned Action. This theory and its evolution into the Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1991) suggest that intentions to perform a behavior are the more immediate precursors to actual behavior.
